Satay Beef Cups


  • 1 tbsp

    medium onion, finely chopped
  • 500g
    lean beef mince
  • 1 pkt (150g)
  • 2 tbsp
    peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup (125ml)
  • 1 can (220g)
    bamboo shoots, drained, finely chopped
  • 1 can (220g)
    water chestnuts, drained, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup
    coriander leaves, chopped coarsely, plus extra for garnish
  • 12
    small iceberg lettuce leaves, washed, dried, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp
    crushed peanuts

How to Cook

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cooking Time: 15 minutes
  1. Heat oil in a large wok or frypan over medium heat. Add onion and beef, and cook for 5-6 minutes until meat is browned all over. Stir in both the infusion paste and finishing sauce of MAGGI Satay Chicken Stir Fry, peanut butter and water, simmer for 2-3 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half. Stir in bamboo shoots , water chestnuts, and coriander.

  2. Serve beef in lettuce cups, sprinkle with peanuts and extra coriander.
