Tasty idea for a healthy swap

I admit it! I find salty snacks irresistible. Clearly this isn’t good because we all know that they’re not something that should be eaten too often. That’s why I’m always on the look out for healthier options that I can swap my craving for.

Well luckily I found the perfect solution with edamame beans. Now if you are not familiar with these little nuggets of goodness then I recommend you check them out immediately, they taste amazing! Which is a good thing because if like me you are hoping to replace your favourite snack with a healthier alternative then the No1 criteria is that it must taste delicious. So I say ditch the chips, bring out the edamame beans and crave no more!

They are so yummy just steamed or boiled with a sprinkling of salt, but for something that will really compete with the most stubborn craving, try glazing them in a frying pan with some garlic, ginger, soy sauce and a touch of brown sugar.

Don’t forget to keep them in the shells because sucking them out is such great fun.
