pouring gravy on steak

Don't beef about the gravy

Rich hot gravy poured over roast beef can elevate a roast dinner to a whole new level. But don’t beef about the gravy if you buy the wrong brand.

Ok so you wouldn’t expect me to promote another brand of gravy on the MAGGI website but I would hate you to miss out on such delicious gravies, simply because I work with the MAGGI team.

What I think makes the new range of concentrated gravies so good is that they remind me of homemade.

Ok, homemade can mean different things to different people, but one thing most agree on is that none of us would go to the trouble of roasting a succulent piece of beef, maybe with crunchy roast potatoes and lots of seasonal veggies, and possibly even a Yorkshire pudding, and then pour over a tasteless gravy. That has the potential to completely ruin the meal.

To really bring out the best of a roast dinner requires the best gravy possible, one that that will enhance the flavour of the meat and finish off the meal perfectly. And let’s be honest if you have got the know-how and time to make a gravy from scratch then go for it, because nothing can beat a true homemade gravy. If however you are not sure how to make gravy from scratch then you should certainly give one of these a go.
