I do rely on Recipe Bases when I need to cook up a really quick meal or make a meal go further when unexpected guests arrive at meal time.

This happened just recently when not only was there another mouth to feed, the mouth in question was a vegetarian. A quick look in the pantry and fridge revealed a cauliflower and a packet of MAGGI So Crispy. Phew what a relief, I had a meal in mind. I would quickly make some crunchy cauliflower cheese bites, emergency over.

Here’s my recipe for Cauliflower Bites:

1. Boil the cauliflower for five minutes, drain and pat dry.
2. Coat cauliflower in egg, then coat with MAGGI So Crispy Bites.
3. Apply a light spray with oil and into a hot frying pan.
4. Cook until brown then serve.
