Spicy Lamb with Chick Peas


  • 2 tsp
  • 500g
    lamb steaks, cut into thin strips
  • 1 medium (150g)
    onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 medium (200g)
    red capsicum, sliced
  • 1 pkt
  • 1 cup (250mL)
  • 2 tsp
    mild Indian curry paste
  • 1 tsp
    tomato paste
  • 300g can
    chickpeas, drained

How to Cook

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Cooking Time: 25 minutes
  1. Heat frying pan over high heat, add oil and brown lamb on both sides; remove and set aside.

  2. Reheat frying pan over medium heat; add onion and capsicum, cook 4 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile combine MAGGI Brown Onion Gravy, water, curry and tomato paste. Add to the pan; bring to the boil, stirring constantly.

  4. Return lamb to pan, simmer 15minutes. Stir through chickpeas, to heat through.  If desired, serve with rice.
