Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 250g
    beef mince
  • 1 tsp
    chilli paste
  • 1 tsp
    ginger puree
  • 1 tsp
    garlic puree
  • 1 tsp
    lemongrass paste
  • 2
    star anise, optional
  • 1 tbsp
  • 1 tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 3 (750mL)
    cups water
  • 1 (120g)
    carrot, peeled and cut into matchsticks
  • 1 (120g)
    red onion, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup (85g)
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 pkt MAGGI

How to Cook

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 15 minutes
  1. In a medium saucepan heat oil and cook mince once browned. Add chilli, ginger, garlic and lemongrass, cook for 1 minute or until fragrant.

  2. Add star anise, MAGGI Fish Sauce, soy, and water; bring to the boil and add carrot, onion and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes or until vegetables are just tender.

  3. Add MAGGI 2 Minute Noodles Beef to pot and cook for 2 minutes with flavour sachet. Serve.
