Sesame & Shallot Beef Noodles


  • 1/2 cup (125mL)
    hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp
    dry sherry
  • 1 tsp
    Chinese five spice
  • 500g
    rump steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 pkts
  • 2 tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 1 (150g)
    onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 (240g)
    carrots, cut into matchsticks
  • 3 cups (240g)
    broccoli florets
  • 1 tsp
    ginger puree
  • 2 tsp
    garlic puree
  • 1 (25g)
    spring onion (shallot)
  • 1 tbsp
    sesame seeds toasted

How to Cook

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cooking Time: 15 minutes
  1. Mix hoisin sauce, sherry and five spice together, then add half to the beef and toss to coat. Cook MAGGI 2 Minute Noodles as per pack instructions. Drain, keep warm.

  2. Heat a large frying pan, add 1 tbsp sesame oil stir fry beef until brown, set aside to keep warm.

  3. Heat remaining sesame oil over high heat, stir fry onion, carrot, broccoli, ginger & garlic for 2 minutes. Add beef, noodles and remaining marinade, stir fry until heated through, serve topped with sesame seeds and shallot.
