Spaghetti Bolognese

We all know how to cook this family staple, but have you tried it the smarter way – in just one pan? Not only is it so much more convenient, but the sauce also reduces down slowly for a delicately balanced, perfectly cooked bolognese.

Serves  4

Simply add...

  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 onion, chopped finely
  • 1 x 400g tin tomatoes
  • 140g tub tomato paste
  • 3 cups (750mL) water
  • 250g uncooked spaghetti, snapped in half

One Pan Spaghetti Bolognese

How to make

  • Prep Time:15 minutes
  • Cooking Time:40 minutes
  • Serves:4

Heat a large deep frying pan and spray with oil, add mince, cook 5 minutes or until brown, stirring.

Add onion cook 2 minutes.

Add MAGGI One Pan Recipe Base, tin of tomatoes, tomato paste, stir to combine, cook 2 minutes.

Add 3 cups (750mL) water and uncooked pasta, mix well.  (Water will be absorbed by the pasta and be infused with flavour).

Bring to boil, simmer, uncovered 25-30 minutes or until pasta is tender and sauce has thickened; stir occassionally and serve.
